The Red Wings lost the final game of their 2024 season against Lehigh Valley, 13-2. This loss snapped their three-game winning streak and resulted in a split of the series. Jake Alu led the Red Wings offensively, going 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. He also made his first career pitching appearance.
The Red Wings bullpen limited the damage, with Rico Garcia and Orlando Ribalta each pitching a scoreless inning. With the loss, the Red Wings now trail Columbus by 3.5 games for the International League second-half lead. They will head to Scranton/WB for a six-game series against the RailRiders.
