Game storylines and notes

The Washington Nationals look to continue their winning ways this evening as they continue their three-game series against the Detroit Tigers. The Nationals will send RHP Jake Irvin to the mount in search of reaching .500 for the season.

A win tonight would give them their longest winning streak since June 19-24, 2021 (5 G).

Last time out.

Joey Gallo exited the game in the bottom of the seventh due to an apparent hamstring injury and was replaced by Joey Meneses.
