After dropping game two on the road in Lynchburg last night, the Fredericksburg Nationals and the Lynchburg Hillcats will play a winner-take-all game three of the 2022 Carolina League North Championship series. The winner will advance to the Championship series to play Charleston, who finished up a two-game sweep of Myrtle Beach last night. Game one of the Championship series will be Sunday in Charleston, and the winner of today’s game will host game two and potentially game three.

Andry Lara will start tonight for the FredNats, and his second-half resurgence has been a large reason why the FredNats ran away with the second-half championship. He will be opposed by Ryan Webb of Lynchburg.

Last time out...

Sammy Infante reached three more times, but the FredNats fell to the Lynchburg Hillcats 5-2 Thursday at Bank of the James Stadium. Jarlin Susana suffered the loss on the mound for the FredNats. The 18-year-old allowed four walks plus a three-RBI double to Will Bartlett before exiting in the first, scoring 4-0. Brendan Collins, Kyle Luckham, Tyler Schoff, and Bryan Pena combined to allow just one run the rest of the way.
