Harrisburg, PA - Tonight the Harrisburg Senators kick off their final homestand of the 2022 season against the Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Indians).
After this final home series this year, the Senators head to Manchester, NH to play their final six games against the Fisher Cats beginning next Tuesday in New Hampshire. After the season concludes on September 18, 2022, it will be 200 days before the Sens open the 2023 season in Somerset on April 6.
LHP Time Cate began the season on the Senators' injured list with a strained Lat muscle and then was sent to Wilmington on a rehab assignment. He was then activated from the IL and assigned to Wilmington on May 20. On July 12, Cate was transferred to Harrisburg. Cate entered the 2022 season rated by Baseball America as the No. 19 prospect and the No. 2 left-hander in Washington’s organization. Cate has often been cited by Baseball America as having the “Best Curveball” (2019, 2021, 2022) and “Best Control” (2020, 2021, 2022) in Washington’s system.

The Harrisburg Senators beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels 7-3 Sunday afternoon to finish off a series win. Wilson Garcia homered in the first inning to give the Sens a 1-0 lead and extend his hitting streak to 15-games. Robert Hassell III hit his first Double-A home run in the fifth inning to give the Sens a 3-1 lead. Harrisburg tacked on two runs in the sixth and eighth innings for their final tally.
