New York, NY - The Washington Nationals look to win two games in a row against the first-place New York Mets. Last night, the Nationals beat the Mets, 7-1.

Today, the Nationals will send RHP Erick Fedde to the mound to face the Mets. While the New York Mets will send RHP Carlos Carrasco to the mound to face the Nationals lineup.

RHP Erick Fedde will be looking for his sixth win of the season. Currently, he is 5-9 with an ERA of 5.29 this season. In his last time out against the Oakland A's, Fedde went 2.2 innings giving up nine hits and six runs. He struck out four and walked one. Over his last seven games, Feede is 0-4 with an ERA of 7.11. He has given up 25 runs on 39 hits and struck out 25.

RHP Carlos Carrasco exited his start on August 15 at Atlanta after 2.0 innings with left-side tightness. He took the loss after giving up three runs on four hits (two home runs) and a walk with one strikeout. He was placed on the 15-day Injured List on August 16 with a low-grade left oblique strain. Prior to his last start, Carrasco had won each of his five previous decisions from July 3-August 9, his second-longest win-streak of the season.
