Trea Turner is one of 11 players in MLB this season to record at two hitting streaks of at least eight games and is the only one, however, to have one of his streaks be at least 16 games.

Fedde on the Mound

RHP Erick Fedde (1-3, ERA 5.29 will makes his second start against Atlanta in as many starts.

In three career appearances (two starts) against the Braves, he is 0-1 with a 17.36 ERA with seven strikeouts and nine walks. In his last start, Fedde gave up four earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts and four walks in 3.2 innings pitched, which did not factor into Washington's 10-4 win against Atlanta on Sept. 5.

It's Never too Late

The Nationals selected the contract of outfielder Yadiel Hernandez on Thursday. Hernandez made his Major League debut as a pinch-runner in the bottom of the ninth inning. According to Elias Sports Bureau, at the age of 32 years, 337 days old, he became the oldest player to make his Major League debut in Nationals history (2005-pres).

Soto Shuffle

Since returning to the lineup on Sept. 8, Juan Soto has reached base safely in seven of nine plate appearances.

Soto is 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, five walks, one stolen base, and three runs scored during this stretch and has drawn at least one walk in six consecutive games, matching a career-long streak (also: 9/18–24/2019).
