The World Champion Washington Nationals fell to the Atlanta Braves, 7-6, on Thursday night in this four-game weekend series.

The Washington Nationals swept a doubleheader against the Philadelphia Phillies, topping them 3-1 in Game 1 and winning 7-6 in dramatic, come-from-behind fashion in Game 2.

In-Game 1 of the doubleheader, Spencer Kieboom clubbed his first career home run to put the Nationals on the board in the fifth inning, and Erick Fedde struck out a career-high nine batters en route to his second win of the season.

In Game 2, trailing 6-3 in the top of the ninth inning, the Nationals plated three runs to tie the game.
