Hartford, Connecticut - The Harrisburg Senators hope to rebound from a tough walk-off loss as they play the Hartford Yard Goats for game five of their six-game series at Dunkin Park.
After battling back from a three-run deficit to tie the game in the ninth inning, the Senators suffered a heartbreaking defeat when the Yard Goats walked off with a victory last night. Tonight, the Senators will turn to RHP Andry Lara, who has been a consistent force on the mound with eight quality starts in 11 outings. Lara has a 8-7 record with a 2.56 ERA.
Offensively, the Senators will look to Paul Witt to continue his hot hitting. Witt drove in all three runs in the previous game with a home run and an RBI groundout. Meanwhile, Jeremy De La Rosa has made an immediate impact, hitting in each of his first four games with a .353 batting average with the Senators.
The Yard Goats, the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, bring a talented roster to town, featuring nine of the Rockies’ top 30 prospects, including the highly regarded outfield duo of Yanquiel Fernandez and Zac Veen.
