Manchester, NH - This afternoon, the Harrisburg Senators got shut out against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 4-0. The Senators dropped games one and two during this week’s series against the Fisher Cats.
Senators outfielder and Washington Nationals prospect Robert Hassell III went 2-3 with a walk, a stolen base, and two singles despite the Senators getting shut out.
Robert Hassell III singled on a ground ball to pitcher Devereaux Harrison, deflected by first baseman Rainer Nunez in the top of the first, and stole second base. However, the Senators could not capitalize. The Senators went 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position and left eight on base in the shutout.
LHP Lucas Knowles pitched three innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits. RHP Samuel Reyes also pitched three innings and gave up a one-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to Zach Britton to right field. Reyes struck out three.
Next, the Harrisburg Senators will continue their series tomorrow night, with the first pitch at 6:35 p.m.
