Leading today’s Morning Briefing: Nats lose game two to the Cincinnati Reds
In yesterday’s early morning start the Nationals fell 8-4. Jonathan India hit two home runs and Elly De La Cruz went 4-4. It’s hard to beat that. CJ Abrams did his best to provide run support, going 2-3 with two doubles and a walk, while also scoring twice.
Patrick Corbin allowed six earned runs over five innings, including two home runs. Cory Abbott allowed two more earned runs over three innings.
CJ Abrams is your Nats Report Player of the Game for his 2-3 performance. The next game begins at 7:05 p.m. on MASN2.
Alex Call gets a call
According to reports from Alexcallstat and TalkNats, Alex Call has been promoted back to the big league roster. This comes after Derek Hill struggled mightily in his Nationals debut, hitting .170/.220/.191 in 50 plate appearances.
