The Nationals will continue their West Coast road trip tonight as they face the Oakland Athletics. This will be the final time that the Nationals play at the Oakland Coliseum and the one and only meeting between these two teams this season.
Oakland Nights. This will mark the Nationals' first game at the Oakland Coliseum since 2017 and only their third appearance in franchise history at the venue. In their previous encounter in 2017, the Nationals clinched the series with a two-game lead to one. Overall, since 2003, the Nationals hold an 8-10 record against the Athletics.
Last Time Out: Before yesterday’s day off, the Nationals lost the series finale to the San Francisco Giants 1-7. LHP Patrick Corbin got the loss for the game as he pitched 5.2, gave up all seven runs on 11 hits, and struck out only two. The Nationals got their one run from a Joey Gallo 356 ft, home run to right-center field in the top of the second inning.
