The first match-up between two former Washington Nationals teammates is always going to provide some interesting dynamics. It was fun to see Max Scherzer strike out Bryce Harper back in 2019 when Harper returned to Nationals Park as a Philly. Fast forward to 2022, when the Washington Nationals will host the New York Mets on Friday, April 9, 2022, when Max Scherzer will face some of his old teammates but this time in a New York Mets uniform.
Depending on the lineup that night, Juan Soto will face the three-time Cy Young Award Winner Max Scherzer either in the bottom of the first or the bottom of the second inning. Either way, the must-see match-up is going to happen to start the night, and it's going to be fun to watch.
