According to the DC Police, a man was found shot near Nationals Park in Southwest, DC around rush hour Wednesday morning when the police got called to domestic incident minutes away.
In a press conference by DC Police Chief Robert Contee, Wednesday morning discussed how the body was found and that the police received the call to 1500 South Capitol Street, Southwest, where they found the man conscious and breathing with serious injuries.
DC police did not suggest a potential motive, or how the victim and shooter knew one another - but the police chief did confirm that the incident had "domestic overtones." He said the department could not yet confirm any additional details.
