It was announced that Washington Nationals first baseman and designated hitter Luke Voit is a Sliver Slugger finalist.

Voit had 500 at-bats with 113 hits, 22 home runs, and a batting average of .226 during the 2022 season which included stints with the San Deigo Padres and of course the Washington Nationals. With the Nationals, Voit played in 53 games and had 224 plate appearances and 202 at-bats.

Voit had a .228 batting average a slugging percentage of .381 and an OPS of .676 from nine home runs, 21 RBI, and 17 runs with the Nationals. While with the Padres, Voit had 344 plate appearances and played in 82 games. The 31-year-old had a batting average of .225 with a slugging percentage of .416 and an OPS of .733

Former Washington Nationals players Juan Soto and Josh Bell also were named as Silver Slugger Finalists.
