- Keibert Ruiz ranks second in Major League Baseball with 12 catchers caught stealing, behind only Philadelphia's catcher J.T. Realmuto (13). Along with first baseman Josh Bell, Ruiz has picked off four runners at first base, the most in Major League Baseball. The four pickoffs are tied for the most in a single season in Nationals history (2005- pres.) with Brian Schneider.
- LHP Patrick Corbin faces the Marlins for the second time this season. Corbin's last start vs. Miami came at home on April 28. Corbin took the loss after tossing 6.0 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits. He struck out eight batters and walked two in Washington’s 3-2 loss. Additionally, Corbin is 5-6 with a 4.22 ERA (47 ER/100.1 IP) in 16 career starts facing the Maimi Marlins.
- Washington Nationals recall RHP Jordan Weems and send right-handed pitcher Jackson Tetreault on the 15-day Injured List.
