Washington D.C. - The Washington Nationals kick off a two-game home series against the Seattle Mariners and a six-game homestand tonight, leading into the All-Star break. It will start with a rare two-game visit from the Seattle Mariners, followed by a four-game series with the Atlanta Braves.

The Nationals have been 13–2 against the Mariners since 2005. The Washington Nationals (2005-Pres.) have never lost a series to the Seattle Mariners. Seattle’s only series win over the Expos/Nationals came with a sweep of the Expos in 2004 at Safeco Field.

The Seattle Mariners are making their fourth trip to D.C. to face the Nationals since 2005. The Nationals will head to Seattle on Aug. 23–24.
