After winning their second straight one-run game on the road at Down East, the Fredericksburg Nationals look to secure at least a split tonight in Kinston. The team is also in search of their sixth straight win overall. RHP Jose Atencio makes his second start with the Fredericksburg Nationals after being promoted from the Florida Complex League mid-July. Atencio won his first start against Salem, allowing two earned runs in five innings.

With the first two wins in this series, the team is now 15-10 in one-run games but has won six straight one-run games after struggling in that department in the first half of the season. The Wood Ducks are reeling, having lost six games in a row and recording just a 1-9 record in their last ten games.
