The Bowie Baysox scored twice in the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie and held on for a 6-4 win over the Senators Wednesday night at FNB Field. Trailing 2-0, the Harrisburg Senators scored single runs in the second and third innings to tie the game. After Bowie scored twice in the fourth, the Sens scored twice in the bottom of the fourth to tie the game at four each. The Sens had just two hits the rest of the way in the loss.
Ronald Herrera started and went the first six innings allowing four runs on eight hits. He struck out five and walked two. Francys Peguero took the loss allowing a pair of runs in the seventh inning on two hits and a walk. Malvin Pena and Edgar Garcia both tossed scoreless frames.
Eight of the nine Senators starters had hits in the game. Andrew Young was the only Senator starter with two hits. Trey Harris doubled and drove in a run in his Senators debut.
Harrisburg Senators turned two twin killings and have now turned 78 double plays this season. They went 5-for-7 with runners in scoring but scored just four runs. Justin Connell had his fifth season assist when he threw out a runner at second.
