The Harrisburg Senators lost 18-1 Sunday afternoon to the Bowie Baysox. Bowie completed a six-game sweep of the Sens and won an eighth straight game overall. Bowie plated nine runs in the first inning and coasted from there. The 18 runs are a season-high against Harrisburg this season.
Alex Troop started for Harrisburg and lasted just two-thirds of an inning. He gave up eight runs on seven hits. He was followed by Steven Fuentes, Edgar Garcia, Brian Gonzalez, and Alberto Guerrero. Only Gonzalez didn’t allow a run. Dondrei Hubbard pitched a one-two-three ninth inning.
Andrew Young accounted for the only Senators run with a solo home run in the sixth inning. It was his seventh home run with the Sens. Trey Harris had two hits and was the lone Senator batter with two or more hits in the game.
Bowie outscored the Senators in the six-game series 60-16. Dondrei Hubbard became the first Senators, position player to pitch in a game since last season on July 14 against Akron. Duarte went two-thirds of an inning.
