Nearly all of the top MLB free agents signed, the lockout over, the totals of how much teams have spent on players' salaries have been calculated and the total is record-breaking. According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, this offseason MLB teams have committed a record-breaking $3.264 billion to players' salaries. Not bad at all,

For all the questions about baseball's present and future, all the hand-wringing about where the game is headed, money talks -- and it says baseball is doing just fine, thank you very much."
