Only days after the 2022 MLB Draft, the Washington Nationals announced they had officially signed their first-round picks.

• 3rd Rd. – Trey Lipscomb – 3B – University of Tennessee
• 9th Rd. – Maxwell Romero Jr. – C – University of Miami
• 10th Rd. – Murphy Stehly – 3B – University of Texas

According to the Washington Post, "Trey Lipscomb, the Nationals’ third-round pick and a 3B out of Tennessee, signed at slot for $758,900, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Highest bonus for a senior hitter in the past five drafts."
