For the second time in his career, Washington Nationals outfielder Victor Robles is a 2022 Gold Glove Award Finalist.

In the outfield this season, Robles played in 128 games, had a total of 340 put outs and Robles added seven assists to only six errors. Robles’s athleticism in the field was a major reason he kept his spot in the lineup despite batting just .224.

Former National Juan Soto was also a finalist in the right field. His inclusion as a gold glove award finalist came as a bit of a surprise given his defensive metrics were below league average; he finished with -2 defensive runs saved while playing more innings in right field than any other player.
