While the Nationals are in the midst of a re-build there will be ups and downs this season with this Washington Nationals team, this is bound to happen. After having a disaster of an Opening Weekend against the New York Mets and then after Tuesday night's rout, the Nationals bounced back with a gutsy performance this afternoon to beat the Atlanta Braves 3-1 and take the series. The Nationals now head to Pittsburgh for a three-game series.

The Nationals' pitching staff was impressive today as pitchers Gray, Finnegan, Doolittle, Cishek and Rainey combined for a 2-hitter, and only gave up one run during the game. On the opposite side of the ball, the Nationals lineup jumped out to an early lead on the Braves starting pitcher Max Fried and the bullpen did its job.

We will have a complete wrap-up tonight of today's game.

Put a Curly W in the books! The Nationals are currently 2-4 and 2 games back of the New York Mets in the NL East
