Rochester, NY - This afternoon the Rochester Red Wings dropped another game against the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs, 11-4.

Getting the start for the Red Wings, was RHP Jackson Rutledge pitching 5.0 innings, giving up four runs on six hits, two home runs, and striking out three. Rutledge 89 pitches 52 of them being strikes and faced 23 batters.

Despite the loss this afternoon, DH Travis Blankenhorn extended his hitting streak to five games this afternoon, finishing 2-for-3 with a double and two walks. Since Blankenhorn's streak began on July 20, the power-hitting lefty leads all Rochester Red Wings bats with a .429 (9-for-21) batting average, an .810 slugging percentage, a 1.288 OPS, nine hits, and five doubles. Lastly, today's game was Blankenhorn's fifth straight game with an extra-base hit, tied for the longest active streak in the International League.

Stone Garrett continued his hot hitting for the Red Wings, launching a home run for his 650th career Minor League hit. His third home run of the season left the bat at 107.4 mph. Garrett is batting .325 in July with a .625 slugging percentage and a 1.038 OPS.

CF Dylan Crews hit two doubles this afternoon finishing the game 2-for-4 with walk. The second overall pick in last year's MLB Draft CF Dylan Crews has a recorded a hit in 10 of his last 11 games, with a .289 (13-for-45) batting average,  three doubles, and two home runs since July 5th.

RHP Eduardo Salazar turned in his ninth straight consecutive scoreless outing Thursday afternoon with 1.1 innings, allowing one hit, while striking out two and walking one.

Up next: The Rochester Red Wings will continue their series against the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs tomorrow night with the first pitch at 6:45 p.m. RHP Thaddeus Ward (4-3; 6.16 ERA) is slated to get the start for the Red Wings and RHP Max Castillo (0-5; 9.26 ERA) for the Iron Pigs.
