The Rochester Red Wings dropped the series finale against Buffalo, 9-6, Sunday afternoon after winning the previous four games. Despite the loss, the Rochester offense picked up double-digit hits for the fifth consecutive game, including hits from seven different Red Wings.

3B Jake Alu continues to be a force in his return to Rochester, going 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Alu has now hit safely in all four games with the Wings this season, going 7-for-17 (.412).

Another hot prospect, 2B DARREN BAKER, extended his hit streak to six games in the loss, turning in a 1-for-3 day at the plate, walking once. The lefty second baseman finished this series against Buffalo with a .500 average (14-for-28) with a home run, triple, double, and three RBI. (Baker is the only Red Wing to start all 14 games this season all at 2B )

RHP Corey Abbott got the loss for the Rochester Red Wings. His record is now at 1-2 with an ERA of 7.07. Abbot went five innings, gave up five runs on five hits, and struck out five. Eighty-six pitches, and 51 of them were strikes.

The Red Wings will have the day off on Monday and will travel to Norfolk, where they will face them for the remainder of the week. First Pitch is at 6:35 p.m. and RHP Tommy Romero (0-1, 9.82) will get the start for the Red Wings.
