The Rochester Red Wings continued their hot streak last night, defeating the Syracuse Mets 9-2. This victory marks their fifth consecutive win, solidifying their dominance and securing their ninth series win of the season. Riding this wave of success, the Red Wings currently hold the top spot in the International League East for the second half, though they trail the Columbus club by a close margin of 2.0 games for the overall second-half lead.

Our house is a very, very, very fine house

Brady House continues to impress in August, extending his hitting streak to seven games with a solid 1-for-3 performance last night that included two RBIs and a walk. The Nationals' top prospect has shown a knack for driving in runs, with this being his sixth multi-RBI game since joining Triple-A Rochester. House has a batting average of .357 against Syracuse in seven games.

It's not DUNN, yet.

SS Jack Dunn continues to shine at the plate, driving in his 30th run of the season with a go-ahead RBI single in the seventh inning. His hot streak shows no signs of cooling down, as he extended his hitting streak to seven games with four consecutive multi-hit performances. Dunn is having an exceptional August, boasting a .389 batting average and a .500 on-base percentage through 12 games. This current stretch of four straight multi-hit games marks a career first for the talented player.

BAKER's MAN.

Darren Baker continues to be a force at the plate, extending his hitting streak to eight games with a 2-for-5 performance that included a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Notably, this is the first time he's doubled in consecutive games since June.

Baker has been particularly effective against the Syracuse Mets this season, batting .329 with extra-base hits including a triple and five doubles in 20 games.

Opposition Research: RHP Mike Vasal

Mike Vasil, a right-hander with a 6-7 record and a 5.31 ERA, is set to make his sixth career start against the Rocester Red Wings in the fifth game of the series.

Vasil has struggled against Rochester, posting a 1-2 record with a 7.01 ERA in six appearances. However, he's coming off a strong performance in his previous start, where he earned the win by allowing just two earned runs over six innings with eight strikeouts.
