Leading this Morning's Briefing: A three-run homerun plagues the Nationals as they lose their series finale against the Rockies (9-7)

There is little room for error for this year’s Washington Nationals. Their teams’ defense has to be perfect to give their offense a chance to win games. Once again, errors and the long ball plagued the Nationals as they dropped Thursday afternoon’s series finale.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Rockies broke the scoring wide open thanks to a three-run home run by Aaron Rodgers put the Rockies up 8-3, and the Nationals were never able to mount a comeback. The Rockies added one more run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Click here to read our full recap here.

The Nationals dropped to a record of 9-18 with an on-the-road record of 6-7.
