Washington Nationals Top Story: Corey Kluber's showcase
Two-time AL Cy Young winner who has generated interest from approximately 12 teams this offseason, Corey Kluber will be hosted a showcase in Florida on January 13. The Washington Nationals are sending scouts to watch the showcase, according to reports. Since the Nationals are sending scouts to watch the showcase, should the Washington Nationals be in the Corey Kluber business? There are plenty of reasons why the Nationals should sign Kluber. We will take a look at them a bit closer soon on the Nats Report.
The Washington Nationals staff have been pretty quiet so far this offseason. The only splash the Nationals have made is trading for 1st baseman Josh Bell from the Pirates on Christmas Eve.
With Spring Training supposed to be starting on time and pitchers and catchers planning on reporting next month, the to-do list for the Nationals is still pretty long. Check out our To-Do List for Mike Rizzo and Co.

Major League Baseball Top Story: 2021 Baseball Hall of Fame Ballot
With the 2021 inductees' announcement of mear weeks away, many reports share who they voted to get inducted into the Hall. One interesting article caught our eye, and that was from Ken Rosenthal from the Athletic. From the article: "The ballot is fine, baseball-wise. Some will disagree with this choice or that, as happens every year. But this time, my discontent runs deeper than usual, beyond the inner conflict voters face when simply trying to decide which players are most deserving. That guiding philosophy — pick the best players — is how I settled on my ten selections, seven holdovers from my past ballots, and three others I had strongly considered previously. So many of my choices were people of questionable character, I called it my hold-my-nose ballot. But the more I think about it, the sick-to-my-stomach ballot would be a more accurate description. I voted out of obligation and ended up feeling like I did the wrong thing, not knowing what the right thing was. When I ponder a candidate for Cooperstown, I ask myself, "How will I feel watching that person on the podium, making a speech, accepting baseball's honor?" That moment, in my view, is not one that should make some people cringe. But this year, I would anticipate objections to at least seven of my choices on the basis of character."
