Hmm. Okay, I'm Bored: The holiday season is pretty slow without having a lockout. Well, this year we have a lockout and it's happening during the holiday season is a double whammy. We all but know that both Major League Baseball and the MLBPA aren't meeting day in and day out during the holiday season so it would make sense that there is nothing happening. To the surprise of many actually, MLB and the MLBPA did in fact meet recently. Last Thursday, according to ESPN's Jesse Rogers the two sides meet for the first time since the lockout began on December 1st. Let's hope that negotiations kick up after the start of the New Year in January.

Major League Baseball sued by 4 former affiliates over minor league cuts per Report. Four minor league teams lost their big league affiliations before the 2021 season according to a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court. We have the details here.

Buck Showalter is the New York Met’s Manager, Mets Make it Official Yesterday, the New York Mets announced on Monday that they’ve hired veteran Baseball Manager Buck Showalter for a three-year deal. Today at 1:00 pm EST the team will hold a Zoom call officially introducing Showalter as the new head coach.
