Washington Nationals Headlines

With 2020 being one of the strangest years ever, Major League Baseball is planning on changing it up even more. This year, Major League Baseball announced that they plan to revamp the Minor League Baseball team structure.

Some teams have already started to make changes, and two changes caught our attention. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Minnesota Twins dropped their Rochester New York affiliate, the Rochester Red Wings. Additionally, the San Francisco Giants dropped their affiliation with the Richmond Flying Squirrels due to location issues. We started to think one of these two teams could be the new Washington Nationals Triple A or High A, affiliated team. [Read the full article here]

Around the Horn: Major League Baseball Headlines

In MLB news, Cy Young Award winners were recently announced. This year's winners are Shane Bieber and Trevor Bauer.

Bieber garnered all 30 first-place votes, becoming the first unanimous winner of the Cy Young since Clayton Kershaw in 2014 and just the 24th overall. Bauer, who received 27 first-place votes, can now add the Cy Young winner to his résumé in his free-agent foray after beating out the Cubs' Yu Darvish who received three first-place votes and the Mets' Jacob deGrom. Lastly, Bauer becomes the first Cincinnati Reds pitcher to win the Cy Young Award.
