Leading this Morning's Briefing: All Quiet from South Capitol St.
After a couple of interesting headlines from various reporters linking top free agents to the Washington Nationals, things have been quiet from South Capitol St and the National executive offices.
However, I believe that news, rumors, and more will come after the Thanksgiving Holiday and during this year's Winter Meetings in Dallas, TX, in early December, so hang out for a bit more and, most importantly, enjoy your Thanksgiving turkey and some football! (Thank goodness the Commanders aren't playing on Thanksgiving Day!)

The Future of Baseball in Tampa? According to multiple reports, it looks like Tropicana Field can be fixed and ready for 2026 after being hit by Hurricane Milton; however, the hefty price tag of roughly $55.7 million to repair the stadium, according to the Tampa Bay Times, might put the future of baseball in Tampa in serious question. From a CBS Sports article: "....With the Rays set to build a new ballpark that'll be ready for the start of the 2028 season, that means the city needs to decide whether or not to spend more than $55 million for a ballpark that'll only be used for two seasons... The biggest takeaway here from the baseball perspective is the Rays could be cleared to play in the Trop after just one season away when it was unclear they'd ever be able to return. It is not, however, a sure thing with the new ballpark coming and that repair price tag hanging over the head of the city of St. Pete."
