Upcoming Schedule:

Last night, the Washington Nationals bullpen was called into action early in the game; after starting pitcher, Sean Nolin was ejected for throwing at Braves' first baseman Freddie Freeman just three batters and one out in the first inning. Our friends at TalkNats.com have a great recap.
From their wrap up "Maybe the greatest revenge is saying little and carrying a big stick like Soto who crushed a 462 foot home run to really put an exclamation point on the game as that proved to be the game-winning RBI. Josh Bell has a home run, and 2 RBIs, and the young Luis Garcia had an RBI double for the game's final run.
"In a show of good sportsmanship, after the first inning, Freeman put his arm around Soto and then went over to talk to manager Dave Martinez. It seemed to de-escalate the tension, and no other players were thrown at the rest of the game."
The Nationals are still tied for last place in the NL East with a 58-81 record. They will play their last game against the Braves for the 2021 season tonight before heading to Pittsburgh for a weekend series against the Pirates.
In other Nationals-related news, The New York's highest court New York's Court of Appeals agrees to hear Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals TV dispute. We have the latest here. From our article: "According to the Associated Press, the New York Court of Appeals has agreed to hear the long-running dispute between the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals over television rights fees.
The court, the highest in the state, on Sept. 2 granted the Orioles’ motion for permission to appeal. MASN was established in March 2005 after the Montreal Expos relocated to Washington and became the Nationals, moving into what had been Baltimore’s exclusive broadcast territory since 1972. The Orioles have a controlling interest in the network."
In other news around baseball, on Monday night, former Washington Nationals pitcher and ace Max Scherzer inched closer to a major career milestone: 3,000 strikeouts. Facing the St. Louis Cardinals, Scherzer struck out 13 in his hometown.
Scherzer (13-4) permitted one unearned run and six hits in eight innings in his 104th double-digit strikeout game, including six against St. Louis. That ties him for fifth place in MLB history.
Scherzer also recorded the ninth 200-plus strikeout season of his career. The three-time Cy Young Award winner is six away from becoming the 19th player in big-league history to reach 3,000 Ks.
In upstate New York... The "2020" Baseball Hall of Fame class of Derek Jeter, Larry Walker, Ted Simmons, and the late Marvin Miller were finally inducted after COVID-19 postponed the induction. New York Yankee fans flooded Cooperstown, New York, to celebrate the legendary baseball career of Derek Jetter. Jeter attracted an ample audience of baseball fans, but his induction was also intended by a couple of Basketball Hall of Famers -- the great Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing. That His "Airness" was among those pulling out his iPhone to capture the moment when Jeter's time arrived is testament to Jeter's star power. And so, too, were the chants that began as he first touched his plaque. "De-rek Je-ter!" a predominantly Yankees-clad crowd roared. "De-rek Je-ter!"
