At the beginning of the month, when the Chicago Cubs did not tender some exciting players, there was a lot of talk about one specific player that became a free agent: Kyle Schwarber.
As we have noted here at the Nats Report , the Washington Nationals have many holes to fill, and one of those holes is a power bat that they can put behind Juan Soto and Trea Turner.
There are a lot of possibilities and big bats out on the now cold free-agent market; however, today, the Washington Post reported that the Nationals are interested in possibly signing Schwarber, "according to two people with knowledge of their plans." [Read our full article here]

Realmuto) has long been a focus of Washington Nationals fans and the front office. This infatuation goes back a few years, but it all began in the winter of 2018. The Marlins were in the midst of a fire sale, and Realmuto seemed to be one of those players with the right trade that would be moved to another team. Realmuto's value was sky-high because he had three years of control; he was the best catcher in baseball and was entering arbitration. Suppose the Miami Marlins and the Washington Nationals were to trade.
