I should add that the hiring of Sean Doolittle (not only a cerebral player with an analytical bent but a guy who has professional experience as a hitter and a pitcher) should be a massive, massive help in undertaking to strengthen the growth and development of the pitching staff, and perhaps nowhere more than in the bullpen.
