Quick Notes: Mike Rizzo on 2021 First Round Pick Brady House ...

Washington Nationals 2021 First Round Pick Brady House went on the IL back in June with a back injury and didn't return for the remainder of the season. There was very little information disclosed about his injury or status until now that's if you think tap dancing around the answer is a status update. We will let you be the judge for yourself.

MASN's Mark Zuckerman [tweet link] asked Rizzo about the Washington Nationals First-round pick and why he could not return to the team. Rizzo responded, "Well, he didn't come back and play in any games. But he's doing baseball activities, and we're expecting him to be good to go for minor-league spring training next year."

Zuckerman then asked Rizzo how much concern he might have if a young player has a back issue, and the response was, "You know, having a back issue myself [Rizzo], it doesn't feel good, I know that. But I think that he's doing well in his rehab, and I think he's well on his way to getting back on the field in spring training and being ready to go."

Honestly, this doesn't answer any questions around the first-round pick, especially why House never returned to action in June. Maybe the non-answer is an answer. Only time will tell.

What do you think?
