From the looks of it, Mike Rizzo wants to bring the old gang back into town. As we just reported the Washington Nationals were among teams that attended a brief pitching showcase that featured Anibal Sanchez, and from the looks of it, Anibal Sanchez is heading back to D.C. or at least has a chance to head back to Washington.
The Nationals have signed veteran right-hander Anibal Sanchez, reports Jon Heyman of MLB Network. It’s a minor league deal, reports Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post. If selected, he’ll be paid $2MM, with $1.5MM in performance bonuses available, per Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
