Before Thursday night's Washington Nationals' and Rockies game, we got a bunch of updates regarding RHP Joe Ross, RHP Stephen Strasburg, and Luís García from manager Davey Martinez.

Here are the updates h/t MASN:

  • RHP Joe Ross underwent another MRI yesterday and the results didn't look good. According to Ross, the MRI showed “more of a sprain” of his elbow ligament than previous MRIs did. Ross also noted that he will be going to have further tests tomorrow before deciding on a course of action for the future.
  • RHP Stephen Strasburg will return to Fredericksburg for his next rehab start possibly Sunday when the FredNats will face the Salam Red Sox. [Stay tuned for the exact details] According to MASN, Strasburg will then travel with the Nationals up to New York before the Nationals will face the first-place New York Mets. Strasburg will then head back to his third rehab assignment yet to be determined. Things are looking good for the 2019 World Series MVP.
  • Washington Nationals' shortstop prospect Luís García experienced a hyperextended left arm due to a collision at first base earlier this week with the Rochester Red Wings. Martinez said that the prospect will be fine and will be back playing with the Red Wings after a couple of days off.
