RHP Josiah Gray is slated to make his first rehab start on Sunday with the Fredericksburg Nationals. The Fredericksburg Nationals are playing the Cannon Ballers, the Single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
Josiah Gray has been making his way back from being placed on the 15-day IL after suffering an elbow/forearm flexor strain back in April.
Gray, 26, was the Nationals' Opening Day starter but has been hit hard in two starts, going 0-2 with a 14.04 ERA, five walks, nine strikeouts, 15 hits and 13 runs in 8 1/3 innings.
An All-Star selection in 2023, Gray had not been on the injured list in his three-plus seasons. A second-round selection by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2018 MLB Draft, Gray has a career record of 17-27 with a 4.84 ERA in 386 2/3 innings over 74 games (73 starts) with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2021) and Nationals (2021-present).
