Breaking News: Juan Soto has been placed on the 10-day Injured List

According to the Washington Nationals, Juan Soto has been placed on the 10-day Injured List (strained left shoulder) and Yadiel Hernandez has been recalled from the Alternate Training Site

Soto had been hitting .300 with a .460 slugging percentage. In 2021, he has two home runs, two doubles, and eight RBI's. It is not clear when the Left fielder suffered the shoulder injury. Originally, Soto was to play in tonight's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

This injury is added to the growing list of injuries that the Nationals have to deal with. Right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg was also placed on the 10-day IL on Sunday, with right shoulder inflammation.
