⚾ DUGOUT DISPATCH
The Nationals announced Monday that they were placing both right-handed pitcher Cole Henry and left-handed pitcher Ken Waldichuk on the 15-day Injured List. In their place, the team recalled right-handed pitchers Orlando Ribalta and Jackson Rutledge from the Red Wings.
📊 THE BOX SCORE:
Right-hander Cole Henry was placed on the 15-day Injured List with a right rotator cuff strain, which could be somewhat worrying considering his history involving Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Southpaw Ken Waldichuk was placed on the 15-day Injured List with left forearm tightness after grimacing in pain as he left the mound on Sunday, while directing the team trainer to his elbow
Right-hander Orlando Ribalta has gone 1-0 with the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings across six outings with a 3.38 ERA, racking up six strikeouts and one walk in 5.1 innings and tossing scoreless relief in all but one of his appearances
Right-handed pitcher Jackson Rutledge allowed one earned run on three hits in his last three relief appearances with Rochester, with one strikeout and no walks, posting a 5.40 ERA and .211 opponent average across all six of his Triple-A outings this season
🗣️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
While this stint on the IL is hopefully just a reset for Henry, it could mean much more for Waldichuk. The left-hander’s road back from Tommy John surgery in 2024 was both a long and rather rough one that saw him take serious amounts of rehab in the Athletics’ Triple-A team. This rough way back led to him bouncing around on waivers for a while, going from the Athletics, to the Atlanta Braves, to the Tampa Bay Rays, before the Nats picked him up after he was designated for assignment by the Rays. While the injury is just forearm tightness, at least for now, Waldichuk’s history suggests that not only could it be more than that, but it could also be a much longer and rougher road back to the majors if he is more seriously hurt.

What do you think these injuries could mean for the Nats long-term? What do you think Ribalta and Rutledge can do for the team in the interim?

Gray Hair? This Is How You Reduce It Naturally
Most men dealing with gray hair have two options: live with it or dye it. Dye works, but it has a tell. The roots. The uniformity. The fact that it looks like something you did rather than something you have.
But now there is a third option: Particle Anti-Gray Serum. A daily spray that works at the root to gradually restore your natural color — hair and beard — without dye, without mess, without anyone knowing you're doing anything at all. Premium ingredients. Clinically researched. Thirty-day guarantee. Over 1,000,000 men use Particle because the results look like them.

⚾ DUGOUT DISPATCH
The Fredericksburg Nationals’ bats started off their season on quite a strong note, winning their first four games with a collective 30 runs scored. While they did run into a bit of a wall in their last series in Lynchburg, they have a clear opportunity to get back to where they were against Delmarva at home.
📊 THE BOX SCORE:
The FredNats started off their season by sweeping the Augusta GreenJackets in a series defined by Fredericksburg’s ability to accumulate runs, scoring a collective of 21 runs across just three games
Their scoring has primarily come from their strong ability to both get on base and capitalize when they have runners on base, with a RISP of 11-for-29 (a RISP average of .379) and just 20 runners left on base across the entire series
The team also saw 10 instances of extra bases, whether that be reaching second or third base, across all three games from seven batters, with the standouts being Eli Willits and Nick Peoples, who both reached multiple bases in two different games
The FredNats did run into a wall on the road against the Hill City Howlers and their pitching lineup, racking up only 26 runs across all six games, including the second game, where they got shut out, while striking out a total of 79 times across all five games
🗣️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
Despite this setback on the road, Fredericksburg’s bats have a clear opportunity to bounce back against the recently struggling Delmarva Shorebirds back at home. The Shorebirds have lost the last four out of six of their games, with the pitching rotation giving up a total of 42 runs across just six games. This has caused their pitching rotation’s—both starters and relievers—ERAs to balloon very quickly, including the starter of last night’s game, Kailen Hamson, who, before the game, had an ERA of 6.35. This recent pitching struggle allows the FredNats’ offense to take advantage and have a strong bounce back after a rough series for their bats.
