According to NBC Sports Chicago and confirmed by many, former Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton has signed with his former team, the Chicago White Sox.
According to Chuck Garfien of NBC Sports Chicago, the White Sox will be giving Eaton a $7 million deal with a second-year team option for $8.5 million.
The Washington Nationals declined a $10.5 million option on Eaton (paid him a $1.5 million buyout) at the beginning of free agency back in October. And now he's teammates with Lucas Giolito, who the Nationals traded for Adam Eaton. Since coming to Washington back in 2017, Eaton has had a batting average of .279, an OPS of .784, 220 strikeouts, 26 home runs, and 112 RBI's.
During the 2019 playoffs, Eaton had a batting average of .246, an OPS of .771, hit two home runs, and had 10 RBI's.
