LYNCHBURG, VA - One of the biggest wins of the season to date, the Fredericksburg Nationals rattled off two runs in the seventh and one in the ninth for a 3-1 comeback victory over the Lynchburg Hillcats on Friday night.
The win gives the FredNats (60-60, 30-25) a one game division lead over the Carolina Mudcats in the Carolina League North Division second half standings with just nine games left to play.

Outside of a run-scoring wild pitch, Randal Diaz supplied the lumber for the third run of the game, an RBI single in the ninth inning.
Luke Johnson tossed six innings of one-run baseball, striking out five and in relief, 2025 draft picks Riley Maddox, who was promoted to Fredericksburg on Friday, and Tucker Biven combined for three innings of two-hit shutout baseball, striking out five and walking none.
