Roster Moves

The Washington Nationals have selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Konnor Pilkington from Triple-A Rochester and optioned right-handed pitcher Mason Thompson to Rochester on Tuesday. To clear space on the 40-man roster for Pilkington, outfielder Dylan Crews was transferred to the 60-day Injured List.
Pilkington, 27, has been outstanding this season at Triple-A Rochester, posting a 4-3 record with a 2.59 ERA, 50 strikeouts, and two saves across 41.2 innings. Since April 1, he has allowed the fewest earned runs (8) and hits (21) among all Triple-A pitchers with at least 40 innings pitched. His 1.74 ERA over this span ranks fifth overall in Triple-A and first among left-handed pitchers.
