This afternoon, the Washington Nationals will look to rebound from last night’s loss to the Colorado Rockies 13-1 and will also look to even up their series before welcoming the Miami Marlins for a wrap around weekend four game series.

The Nationals are scheduled to send right handed pitcher Jake Irvin to the mound who has a 2-8 record and an ERA of 5.82. The Nationals are scheduled to face right handed pitcher Gabriel Hughes who has a 0-5 record and an ERA of 6.54 entering this afternoon’s game.

Tomorrow, the Washington Nationals will kick off a four-game wrap-around weekend series against the Miami Marlins at Nationals Park. First pitch is at 6:45 p.m. EDT

The Nationals are scheduled to send LHP Jackson Kent (0-2, 8.03) to the mound in game one of the four game series while the Miami Marlins are scheduled to send RHP Eury Pérez (7-9, 3.17) to the mound to face the Washington Nationals.

Jackson Kent is set to face the Marlins for the second time this season. In his last start on Aug. 23 at Miami he allowed three earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work.
