The Nationals rolled past Miami, 9–2, on Friday night behind home runs from Brady House and Harry Ford. House launched a three-run shot, while Ford added a solo homer to pace Washington’s offense.

Jackson Kent earned his first Major League win after allowing one earned run on three hits across 7.0 innings. He walked four and struck out three.

The Washington Nationals have now won consecutive games and three of its last five. The Nationals are also 10–6 (.625) over their past 16 home games
