Game Recap
LAST GAME RECAP

The Philadelphia Phillies secured a 6-2 victory over the Washington Nationals, highlighted by back-to-back home runs from Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper. This marks the second time this season that Schwarber and Harper have homered consecutively and the sixth instance for the team overall.

Daylen Lile extended his on-base streak to nine games, going 1-for-4 with a solo home run. During this streak, Lile is batting 10-for-31 (.323) with a homer, two doubles, three RBIs, two walks, one stolen base, and five runs scored. He has reached base safely in 14 of his last 15 games.

CJ Abrams contributed by going 1-for-4 with an RBI double, tallying his 95th career double and 90th with the Nationals. Among franchise shortstops since 2005, only Cristian Guzmán (95), Trea Turner (135), and Ian Desmond (185) have more doubles for the team.

MacKenzie Gore struck out seven over 6.0 innings, yielding two runs on four hits and two walks. Despite a rough start with five of the first six batters reaching base, Gore settled in to retire 16 of the next 18. Against the Phillies this season, he has a 2.50 ERA (5 ER in 18.0 IP) with 26 strikeouts. It was his 16th outing of at least six innings and his 14th quality start this year.

Riley Adams finished 1-for-3 with a walk and his first stolen base of the season (second of his career, the previous coming May 12, 2024, at Boston). Adams has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, posting a .355 average (11-for-31) with two doubles, a homer, an RBI, three walks, a stolen base, and six runs scored.
