The Nationals are scheduled to face right handed pitcher Jacob DeGrom. DeGrom has a 8-8 record with an 3.95 ERA entering tonights game along with 147 strikeouts this season.

The Nationals blanked the Rangers, 6-0, behind another dominant performance from Cade Cavalli. The right-hander scattered three hits over 6.0 scoreless innings and recorded at least 10 strikeouts for the second consecutive start.

Cavalli extended his career-long scoreless innings streak to 17.0 innings, the third-longest active streak in Major League Baseball.

At the plate, Andrés Chaparro went deep for a three-run homer and collected multiple hits, while José Tena added a solo home run as part of a multi-hit performance.
