LHP Jake Bennett starts tonight for the Fredericksburg Nationals, and he looks to continue a very strong start to his professional career and earn his first professional win.

After going 7-13 in April, the Fredericksburg Nationals will turn the page to the month of May when the Down East Wood Ducks (Texas Rangers affiliate) come to town for a six-game series at Virginia Credit Union Stadium.

The Fredericksburg Nationals split their road series last week at Lynchburg, and Down East is beginning week two of a two-week road trip. The Wood Ducks won five out of six games last week in Fayetteville, and are 1.5 games out of first place in the Carolina League North Division heading into tonight’s game.

In the final two games, the FredNats hit six home runs - three in each game.
