Game 2 Storylines and Notes:
The Sens once again look to bounce back from a tough offensive performance. The Sens got the perfect pitched game needed to jump start a positive second half. Even when the bullpen gave up the lead in the 6th inning, the Sens still had three at bats to get to work. Unfortunately, they provided little threat. The beauty of baseball is every single game is a brand new start. The sun has risen on Game 2 and the Sens have a bounce back mindset. Game Recap
LAST GAME RECAP

The Harrisburg Senators started quickly on Tuesday night and scored for the first time in 25 innings (the 4th inning of Friday night’s game vs. Erie) when Johnathan Thomas hit a ball directly off of the left field foul ball. Unfortunately the two run shot by Thomas in the second inning would be all the Sens offense could muster last night. The Sens offense missed a good opportunity to give run support to starter Josh Randall who threw another superb outing. Randall went 5IP, 0R, 2H, 1BB, 2K on 79 pitches. Randall lowered his ERA to 3.33. The Senators were 0-3 with runners in scoring position and left 5 men on base. The Senators first half struggles reared their ugly head in game one of the new season. The Sens would go onto lose 4-2 thanks in part to a big 3 run blast by Chesapeake’s Anderson De Los Santos in the home half of the 6th. Jeisson Cabrera would earn the win for Chesapeake and is now 5-2. Noah Dean took the loss for the Sens after giving up the lead in the sixth. Dean is now 0-4.
