The Senators were in action this past week for their second to last home series of the year and last matchup against the Baysox, let’s see how it went!

The Harrisburg Senators remain deadlocked in 3rd position in their division after hovering right around the .500 mark the whole season so far. Despite winning a couple games this week, it will be a lost series to Chesapeake as the 2026 season nears its conclusion.

Game 1 — Chesapeake Baysox — Baltimore Orioles affiliate (August 25) — Senators 1-2

The game was tightly contested, with Harrisburg out-hitting Chesapeake 9-5, but the Baysox edged the Senators 2-1. Clemmey pitched five solid innings, allowing just one run, while the Senators' offense managed to tie the game in the fifth with Boissiere's RBI single. Despite multiple scoring opportunities late, Harrisburg couldn't push across the tying run. De Los Santos' leadoff homer in the seventh proved to be the difference, and Chesapeake's bullpen held firm in the final innings. Glassey and Cranz pitched scoreless innings to keep the Senators in the game, but ultimately fell short.

Game 2 — Chesapeake Baysox — Baltimore Orioles affiliate (August 26) — Senators 5-4

Harrisburg held a 4-1 lead into the eighth but the Baysox rallied to tie the game at 4-4. In the bottom of the eighth, Brown's RBI single scored Green, giving the Senators a 5-4 lead. Harrisburg's bullpen, led by Lara, kept Chesapeake off the board in the ninth, securing the victory. The game featured strong pitching from Susana and Dzierwa, with Susana returning to the mound for the first time since last August, and the Senators' offense was fueled by multiple extra-base hits and clutch hitting in the late innings.

Game 3 — Chesapeake Baysox — Baltimore Orioles affiliate (August 27) — Senators 0-2

The game was a pitching duel that ended prematurely due to rain, with Chesapeake holding a 2-0 lead when play was halted in the seventh inning. Harrisburg threatened early, leaving seven men on base over the first four frames, but couldn't capitalize. Hartle pitched four scoreless innings, and Swan finished with a perfect sixth. The decisive moment came in the fifth when Anderson’s two-run homer gave Chesapeake the lead. The game was ultimately called after a delay, awarding the win to the Baysox.

Game 4 — Chesapeake Baysox — Baltimore Orioles affiliate (August 28) — Senators 7-9

The game was a high-scoring, back-and-forth affair that went into extra innings, with Chesapeake ultimately prevailing 9-7. Harrisburg led early, but the Baysox rallied with a big fourth inning and scored three runs in the 10th to take the lead. The Senators mounted a late rally in the bottom of the 10th, loading the bases with two outs, but fell just short. Both teams struggled with control, issuing 17 walks, and errors contributed to seven unearned runs. Honeycutt's four-hit performance and key hits in the extra innings helped Chesapeake secure the win in a game that lasted over three hours.

Game 5 — Chesapeake Baysox — Baltimore Orioles affiliate (August 29) — Senators 8-9

The Senators mounted a dramatic late rally but fell just short, losing 9-8 to Chesapeake. After falling behind early due to four home runs by the Baysox, Harrisburg chipped away with a four-run ninth inning, highlighted by Fitz-Gerald’s three-run double and Brown’s RBI single. Despite their valiant effort and loading the bases with two outs, the Senators couldn’t complete the comeback. Chesapeake’s early power surge set the tone, but Harrisburg’s resilience kept the game close until the final out.

Game 6 — Chesapeake Baysox — Baltimore Orioles affiliate (August 30) — Senators 5-4

Caleb Lomavita delivered a dramatic walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to lift Harrisburg to a 5-4 victory over Chesapeake. The Senators trailed 4-0 after four innings but rallied with home runs from Lomavita and James Wood, eventually tying the game in the ninth. Lomavita’s heroics capped a four-RBI night and ended Harrisburg’s three-game losing streak. The bullpen shut down the Baysox in the final frames, with Gaston securing the win.

"Baseball’s been played on City Island in that same spot for 100 years, 120 years," said Harrisburg Senators Vice President and General Manager Randy Whitaker regarding FNB Field. "Home plate hasn’t moved more than five feet the whole time it’s been there. The baseball history is incredible in this city."

The Senators now look ahead to their final home series against Altoona starting Tuesday. The series will run from September 1st through September 6th.
