Paul Toboni has made his first major roster move as President of Baseball Operations for the Washington Nationals. On the eve of the MLB Winter Meetings, the Nationals sent reliever Jose A. Ferrer to the Seattle Mariners in exchange for catcher Harry Ford and pitching prospect Isaac Lyon. If you’ve been on Nats Twitter since the Trade Deadline, you’ve probably seen Ford’s name floated as an obvious fit, given Washington’s roster needs and Seattle’s depth. Now that he’s officially a National, it’s time to take a closer look at Ford as a player—and to get to know Lyon as well.
